چکیده

Triaxial induction tools are used to evaluate fractured and lowresistivity reservoirs composed of thinly laminated sand-shale sequences. Thinly laminated and fractured reservoirs demonstrate transversely isotropic or fully anisotropic biaxial anisotropic electrical properties. Compared to the number of studies on transverse isotropy, relatively little work covers biaxial anisotropy because of the mathematical complexity. We have developed a theoretical analysis for the full response of a triaxial induction tool in a homogeneous biaxial anisotropic formation. The triaxial tool is composed of three mutually orthogonal transmitters and three mutually orthogonal receivers. The bucking coils are also oriented at three mutually orthogonal directions to remove direct coupling. Starting from the space-domain Maxwell’s equations, which the electromagnetic EM fields satisfied, we obtain the spectral-domain Maxwell’s equations by defining a Fourier transform pair. Solving the resultant spectral-

Sensitivity study and inversion of the fully-triaxial induction logging in cross-bedded anisotropic formation

We developed a three-dimensional finite-difference codes which can simulate the fully triaxial induction tool in a stratified, cross-bedded anisotropic formation. The sensitivity of the fully triaxial induction measurements in cross-bedded anisotropic formation is studied for the first time. The results show that the tensor measurements are sensitive to the formation resistivity anisotropy, for...

PREDICTION OF BIAXIAL BENDING BEHAVIOR OF STEEL-CONCRETE COMPOSITE BEAM-COLUMNS BY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK

In this study, the complex behavior of steel encased reinforced concrete (SRC) composite beam–columns in biaxial bending is predicted by multilayer perceptron neural network. For this purpose, the previously proposed nonlinear analysis model, mixed beam-column formulation, is verified with biaxial bending test results. Then a large set of benchmark frames is provided and P-Mx-My triaxial ...

Saint-Venant torsion of non-homogeneous anisotropic bars

The BEM is applied to the solution of the torsion problem of non-homogeneous anisotropic non-circular prismatic bars. The problem is formulated in terms of the warping function. This formulation leads to a second order partial differential equation with variable coefficients, subjected to a generalized Neumann type boundary condition. The problem is solved using the Analog Equation Method (AEM)...

1-d Inversion of Triaxial Induction Logging in Layered Anisotropic Formation

In this paper, we present a one-dimensional (1-D) inversion algorithm for triaxial induction logging tools in multi-layered transverse isotropic (TI) formation. A non-linear least-square model based on Gauss-Newton algorithm is used in the inversion. Cholesky factorization is implemented to improve the stability and the reliability of the inversion. Zero-D inversion is conducted at the center o...

Mechanical behavior measurement of the sheep small intestine using experimental tests

Background: There is no consistent data on the mechanical properties of sheep intestine. OBJECTIVES: We performed a series of biaxial strain measurement experiments and extracted the constitutive model to describe the mechanical characteristics of the sheep intestinal tissue. METHODS: Eleven specimens were obtained freshly from sacrificed  sheep and the planar biaxial tests were performed on th...
